Footwear Design Graphic Design
Brooks Running asked us to quickly create a graphic for the Brooks Hyperion Elite 2, made for long-distance runner Desiree Linden. They needed a design for the one-piece jacquard upper that features woven graphics for their first shoe with a carbon fiber plate in the midsole. I collaborated with their Designer, Marketing Manager, and Product Line Manager on the comet-themed design and story.
THE CHALLENGE
MY CONTRIBUTION
I was able to use my graphic design skillset on this approach by designing a graphic “The Crackle effect” inspired by the tail of a burning comet. I was able to draw a couple of different concepts in photoshop and then created a 2D illustration and tech pack for the factory.
